_Italian food and our traditional fooD_

The most traditional food in Italy is pasta....
Pasta is the main food of the day...At lunch they always eat pasta in many ways...
There are pasta with cream and ham, pasta with eggs and bacon, pasta with tomatoes, pasta with vegetables, but we hate this.
These are some types of pasta:

One of the mosf famous Italian Desserts is the TIRAMISU
Another typical Italian Dessert, is the Sicilian Cassata
there are a lot of other Desserts, like Cannoli (from Sicily), Babà( from Naples) and so on which are all delicious and you should try them once in your life...!!!

In our traditional food, there are the famous..

-> "Pa amb tomata" (bread with tomato).

-> "canelons" (cannelloni)

meet and on them you can put cheese.

-> "calçots" a young onion wich we make with a grilled and then you eat them with a special sauce,..

Here we have celebrated carnival this weekend, from the 1st to the 4th of February, but other cities are celebreted the next weekend like Castelló d'Empúries.
We didn't go because it was raining but other years we went there in the "Roses carnival".
We didn't disguise but we think that to participate in the carnival is very funny.
Here there is a big tradition and a lot of people are disguise, travel by decorated cars, they decorate them as castles, formula one cars,... and then a lot of pipol go to the disco.
In the world there are lot of cities which celebrate the carnival. The most important are: Rio de Janeiro, Venecia, Cadiz, Roses, Tenerife...
We think the carnival is very funny if you participate but just seeing it, it is boring.
In our classe some people desguised as Fiona, cheer leaders, Mafalada,..

Grease!! The musical of your live!

In the last month, we went to saw the musical of Grease. The musical was performed in Barcelona in the theatre Victoria.
The musical is very interesting and entertaining. It last about 3 hours but they seem shorter.

The musical we like a lot because the actors and the actresses working very good.
They are sing and dancing all the time but always with a lot of energy.
The musical is about a boy and a girl who mets in the summer. They are meet again in the highschool. But the boy does as if he doesn't know her. But at the end they end together.

The musical it's representated in Barcelona the capital of Catalonia.
Barcelona it's a big important city. situated in the center east to Catalonia.
We like going there sometimes but not always.
In Barcelona you can found the big parks, important museums, beautiful monuments, some shops centre...
In Barcelona, the streets are very wides and there are some buildings have a ancient structure and there are some churches, cathedrals,...
In the centre of the city, there is a famous "Ramblas", the "Güell park, the Tibidabo,...

we live in Figueres.
Figueres is the capital of Alt Empordà.
It's situated in the north-est of Catalonia.

Catalonia it's in the nort-est of Spain.

In figueres there are a lot of interesting sites.
There are some museums like:

- Museum dalí.

- Toys museum.
- Empordà museum.

- ...
Other interesting sites is the Sant Ferran castle. An ancient bulding surrounded by a wall.
There's also a big theathre calls Jardí.
In Figueres you can found a lot of churches.

In this you can find a lot of good restaurants like:

- Dolce Vita.

- Ristorante Adriano.

- Can Punyetes.

- Cetrill d'or.

- Fiore.

- ...

There's also lot of Hotels where to stay like:

- Hotel Duran.

- Hotel Empordà.

- Hotel Pirineos.

- Hotel Ronda.

- ...

The most part of the shops are in the centre of the city. The most famous are:

- Zara.

- Pull&Bear.

- Stradivarious.

- Pep llasera.

- Lily boutique.

- Roxy.

- Ona.

- Big bang.

- ...

At night you don't can do few things, you can only go at the squere of Sol, there are a lot of pubs. But yo can go to ampuriabrava, St.Pere Pescador,.. when there are discos.

Our opinion about Figueres:
Figueres isn't the best city of the world but it's our city and we like this.

Hello we are Maria and Sergio.
We are students in Ies Olivar Gran in Figueres ,Catalonia Spain.
We've met when we were 3 years old.

We are 15 years old and we are
studying 4thESO.

we are very good friends but our hobbies aren't the same.
Maria doesn't like sports very much but Sergio loves Basketball,
Sergio loves hip-hop music and maria hates it!
maria loves pop music and Sergio hates it..
Maria likes normal clothes and sergio likes wide clothes.
Maria and Sergio like motorbikes but their parents don't want to buy them.
Our worlds are very different because Maria goes out with her friends and Sergio goes out with his another friends.
